Latin CARPE DIEM - SEIZE THE DAY

(The Opportunity to Learn a Language)
Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. in the month of June

Latin is known as a classical language derived from the Greek and Phoenician alphabet. It is related to the romance languages and the dialect of Ancient Rome. However, today it is known as the "dead language". Latin is very much alive here at Hamilton House. Learning this language sharpens your memory, helps in solving crossword puzzles and gives you the root of words.

Instructor, Charlene Underhill, is a retired language teacher in French and Latin. She has been teaching at Hamilton House for many years and welcomes members who had some studies in Latin.
