Special Event Details

John Adams

This wonderful, award-winning series, originally shown on HBO, follows the life of the second president of the United States from his early days as a colonist to his death. This series brings you the realism and grit that allows you to feel the struggle our founding fathers endured. This is a truly remarkable account of the birth of our nation. Superb performances by Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney.

Mondays at 10:00am

Begins July 7th (Runs for 7 weeks)

The Great Courses - The History of Ancient Egypt

There is something about ancient Egypt that fascinates almost everyone. Egyptian exhibits at museums draw the largest crowds, mummy movies pull in the largest audiences and Egypt attracts the most tourists. This Great Courses series goal is to demystify ancient Egypt but not take the fun out of it. There will be a one hour lecture on film, an outline and a discussion led by Anne McGill.

Begins Friday, August 1st at 10:00am
