LANGUAGE CLASSES

Active minds are just as important as active bodies and one of the best ways to challenge your mind is to take up a new language. At Hamilton House this endeavor could not be easier. All classes, excluding Italian, are currently in session but you are welcome to visit to see if you would like to enroll. Check our calendar for class schedules. French

Conversational French: Class is conducted in French. General topics of interest are discussed.
Genevieve Degrave, born in France, makes the class both stimulating and fun.
New Time - French will resume January 28th.

Italian

Italian Class is on Tuesdays at 10:00am. This class is taught by Dr. King Odell, from Moses Brown. Italian will resume in late March.

German

Mondays at 10am
This is basic a conversation class with a small bit of grammar. The class will be taught in the Berlitz method. Intermediate and Advanced level can be taught by request.
Instructor, Carl DeSimone, has a Masters Degree in German from Brown University. He lived nine years in German-speaking countries and is a retired teacher from Rhode Island College.

Latin

CARPE DIEM!
Learn something new! Foreign languages have been proven to sharpen your memory skills. Make an attempt to study Latin.
Charlene Underhill, a retired teacher will be offering this class. Thursdays at 10:00am.

Beginning Spanish

Fridays at 11:00AM
Pauline Pagan, a Brown University student who is fluent in Spanish, will introduce vocabulary and some grammar, with an emphasis on conversation.
