T'ai Chi

Tai Chi meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:30.
Tai Chi is a great exercise for mind and body. Originating in China as a martial art, it is now practiced by many for it's health benefits, including stress reduction, flexibility, strength and increased endurance. Through practicing a series of slow, flowing movements in a specific sequence called form, concentration and balance improve and stamina is increased. Tai Chi can help to decrease blood pressure and improve immune function. Tai Chi has been taught at Hamilton House for 15 years and we are pleased to introduce Ida Schmulowitz, a certified instructor who has been practicing Tai Chi for over 20 years.

Exercise your Brain
Exercise improves memory, concentration and abstract reasoning among older adults. It nourishes brain cells and allows them to function more effectively.
