Community Meeting - Come Meet the Board

Community Meetings are a chance to meet other members, share ideas and find out about our classes, programs, travel and events. At this meeting, the Board of Directors are looking forward to meeting with our members. We want to hear from you and it is also the chance to find out how to be involved with our organization .As we move forward, we need everyone to put in effort so that Hamilton House will continue to be here for future members. Your contribution, small or large will make an impact. Please “brown bag it”. We will provide refreshments and dessert.

Tastings are prepared by Chef David Gomes and Chef Tiago Gomes
from Wingate Residences East Side and Blackstone
The tastings will include:
All American: Meatloaf sliders with mac’n cheese with homemade BBQ sauce
Asian: Shrimp & Chicken Pad Thai Noodles with Dipping Sauce and grilled egg roll
Portuguese: Carne de Porco a Alentejana (Littlenecks and Chorizo)
Italiano: Arancini and Basile Pomodoro dipping sauce
French: Assorted pastries – mini custard filo tart, mini eclairs, mini macaroons
Colombian International Coffee Station: w/flavored shots, whipped cream and chocolate shavings

Hamilton House Artist Exhibit

Three passionate Hamilton House student artists will be exhibiting their work at the Central Church Gallery. Opening night will be on Friday, June 2 from 5-7pm. Please take the time to visit the gallery to view their paintings.

The speaker will be Kevin Brundeau, founder of Brundeau and Co. He may come with Travis Landry
(Travis' expertise is toys and comics). Kevin will discuss the world of fine art, antiques, sculptures, collectibles,
toys & comics, and unusual items and their value today. He will also talk about downsizing and dissolving
one's home or that of a family member, and how appraisals are done.
Members are free to bring 1-2 items for an informal appraisal - they can also bring a good quality photo of an item in case it is too large or cumbersome to bring in.

Please join us as we visit the sister city of Florence: Providence, Rhode Island. Here we will meander down famous Federal Hill with its abundant ethnic appeal.
As we begin, we will tour the acclaimed Scialo Brothers Bakery and enjoy a delicious snack. Now we’re off to Venda Ravioli for an unforgettable sensory adventure. A stop at Dreamy Venice will satisfy the most discerning connoisseur of Venetian glass jewelry. As we savor our lunch at Spirito’s, we will experience the fine culinary tradition of the Italian American Club. A final stop at Gasbarro’s Wines is a spirited ending for this extraordinary Italian escapade. Let us know if you need carpooling or willing to be a driver. Lunch is an independent purchase.

Summer Solstice Celebration ~ Colt State Park ~

Join your fellow members ( and guests) to celebrate the summer season for our planned day overlooking Narragansett Bay at Colt State Park. Known for its winding paths along the shore line, you can take time for a walk and bike ride. We have reserved space ( near bathrooms and some covering …. ) Sandra, Mannie and Claudette will greet you there as they prepare their annual BBQ………… Picnic tables have been reserved, but please bring your own lawn chair.
