Continuing Painting
Saturdays, beginning March 6th at 10:00AM - Noon
We will continue to explore either acrylics or water-soluble oils through still life set ups and interiors. Students will be encouraged to push their particular directions further with challenging exercises given on an individual basis. We will look at contemporary artists and those from the past for inspiration, but will be focusing on having each person in class solve problems using their own particular style. Students must bring their own supplies to class including either acrylics or water soluble oils, canvas, an assortment of brushes and a palette.

Drawing
Tuesdays, beginning March 9th at 1:00PM
Beginners and experienced are welcome in the continuing exploration of drawing. We will draw from still life and studio set ups, considering the formal aspects of drawing space, line, light, and composition, while also practicing exercises to help loosen up. We will experiment with a variety of media: pencil, charcoal, and ink. The class will be tailored to meet the needs of each student. Beginners will work on a particular assignment and more advanced students will be given more challenging problems.
Please bring an assortment of drawing media including vine and compressed charcoal, an 18X24 newsprint pad and a pad of 18X24 drawing paper.
Instructor is Ida Schmulowitz.
